Casa da Vara

Casa da Vara is named after a corner column traditionally used as a measuring rod. It was a Gothic shop-house in the former Praza do Arco. Its mullioned window, ogee arches and plant and animal decoration evoke a medieval apothecary and the Crypto-Jewish presence in Tui during the sixteenth century.
