Tripe Factory Staircase

The Escaleiras da Triparía preserve the memory of an old craft street of pre-Roman and medieval origin. It acted as a drain for waste from the tripe trade, where animal remains were used to make tallow, candles and cleaned casing for sausages. The place has strong landscape value and bears witness to the city's continuous occupation.
