Old Hospital for the Poor and Pilgrims

The former Hospital for the Poor and Pilgrims was promoted in 1757 by Bishop Juan Manuel Rodríguez Castañón on the site of the medieval hospital. In addition to care functions, it housed notarial offices and an ecclesiastical prison. The building sums up the welfare, administrative and religious role of this part of Tui.
