Main Theatre

The Teatro Principal was promoted in 1842 by the town council and local bourgeoisie to provide Tui with a modern theatre. Completed in 1844, it followed the Italian model and is attributed to the architect Faustino Domínguez. It is one of Galicia's oldest theatres of this type and a symbol of nineteenth-century urban renewal.
