Chapel of Mercy

The Chapel of Mercy belongs to the Holy House founded in Tui on the Portuguese model and approved in 1542 by Bishop Miguel Muñoz. It is the oldest Misericordia in Spain. The chapel was enlarged during the sixteenth century and preserves the triple doorway completed in 1571 by Melchor Alonso Feal, as well as a Baroque high altarpiece.
